EDIT: Whoa, look at that! She's wearing an undershirt now! How totally age appropriate of her!

A year ago, I submitted this piece:

Luka - Nekoloid by TheBumbler

which began a series that ended up being the best vehicle for my improvement that I could ever imagine. In celebration of all of the improvements I've made and all of those who have come to support me, I decided it was only fitting to go back to where it all began. I'm very proud of myself for how far I've come in the course of a year, and it's almost unimaginable to think that I at one time did not know how to shade without using the dodge and burn tools.

I know some of you are going to point out how incredibly cheesecake this is, and you're right, but I kind of thought I could pull it off with my improved anatomy skills. I am well aware that even though Luka is the biggest of the group, she probably isn't that big. My new years resolution shall be to draw more realistic chest sizes for women ;D.

Lastly, I'd like to promote a small contest we are holding over at :iconnekoloid-inc:, which is a group I would highly recommend joining if this kind of art interests you. The contest theme is New Year's Celebration, and the prizes will grow with participation! Here is the journal with more detailed rules: fav.me/d5np5vo

Description, disclaimer, and announcement aside, I hope you all enjoy this piece in one way or another. Thank you for your support, and have a wonderful holiday!

P.S. She makes a great iPhone wallpaper ;D

I'm sure that I could have done a better job with the hair, but coloring hair has always been my weakest quality. Any tips?

*clears throat*

It has been ages since my last review on a work of yours, so I'll be gentle.

Before I even touch on the main subject of your piece, I'll start with the background. While softening the color towards the middle, I feel as though you lose a good deal of the shadow effects by doing so.

Now to begin on the rest:

Lighting: Appears to be coming from the front left side of this photo due to the lighter coloration on her right shoulder area. Shadows around her left breast area, primarily with her clothing, does not follow that idea of lighting.

Accessories: A necklace AND a choker? It seems like a bit much. The choker happens to be fine, but the necklace appears slightly off center. While it was a good attempt, gravity's laws do not change as a head is turned.

Clothing: Nothing strikes me as having any issues. I love the shading done with it.

Again, you enjoy those breasts a bit much. ^^ Nice to look at, just a bit unrealistic. I humbly request you tone it down a bit with future pieces.

To be frank, I've found this style of art a bit over-done by you. It continues to be well done, it is just growing stale.
